NCR condemns murder of woman author and poet in Iran

Saturday, May 11, Ms. Ghazaleh Alizadeh, Iranian author and poet, was killed in northern Iran. Simultaneous with the death, in suspicious circumstances, of Ms. Alizadeh, revolutionary guards attacked the book exhibition in Tehran and collected her books.

Due to her opposition to the Khomeini regime, Ms. Alizadeh had been imprisoned and tortured. Upon being released from jail, she was under continuous pressure, control and harassment by the regime's Intelligence Ministry.

The Khomeini regime has secretly murdered many opponents in the past and claimed that the victims had committed murder or were killed in accidents.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran condemns the inhuman Khomeini regime's harassment and murder of Ms. Alizadeh. The NCR condoles the family and relatives of this Iranian author.

The NCR calls on international human rights organizations to condemn and investigate the mullahs' crimes, including against Ms. Ghazaleh Alizadeh.
