Against Fundamentalism

A delegation of the Iranian Resistance's women, headed by Mrs. Maryam Matin-Daftary, chair of the NCR's Committee on the Rights and Freedoms of Women, took part in the meeting on Monday, September 4, of the Human Rights Group of the Non-Governmental Organizations.

In this meeting, aimed to present specific suggestions to the governmental conference, the Iranian Resistance's women delegation exposed the mullahs' new ploy in using the word "Equity" instead of "Equality" between women and men. The mullahs' regime thus tries to evade international scrutiny of its violations of women's rights and the inequality inscribed in its penal code.

In a meeting held by the central Asian organization of Diamond on the status of women in Islamic Worlds (Emancipation of central Asian women), Mrs. Fereshteh Karimi, member of the Iranian Resistance's women delegation, took part and exposed the mullahs' crimes against women and elaborated on the viewpoints of the Iranian Resistance on the role of women in Islam.

Since the mullahs' regime is the world's most misogynist regime, and has committed the most shameful crimes against the Iranian women, the speech and information delivered by the representative of the Iranian Resistance on the threat of fundamentalism and the possibilities for change, drew much attention turning into one of the focal points of discussion in that meeting.

The mullahs' regime has dispatched its officials in charge of the exportation of fundamentalism, including mullah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri, to the Beijing Conference. Taskhiri is the deputy minister for Islamic culture and guidance and heads the regime's apparatus in charge of the exportation of terrorism and fundamentalism at the office of Khamenei, the mullahs' leader.
