Mr. Rajavi added: The international seminar held yesterday in London clearly shows that the public and parliamentarians in the West are deeply appalled by the appeasement of this medieval regime through critical dialogue or other similar policies.
The international seminar on Terrorism by the Iranian reigme inside and outside Iran convened yesterday in London upon the invitation of Lord Avebury and with the participation of experts and parliamentarians from 20 American, Arab and European countries.
Petrol dollars and extensive economic ties with the religious, terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran has enabled the mullahs to pay for the heavy expenses of suppression inside Iran, arms build up and export of terrorism and fundamentalism abroad, Mr. Rajavi underscored.
He added: Out of 215 terrorist operations abroad, 62% have occurred during Rafsanjani's tenure. Eleven Iranian exiles have been assassinated since the beginning of 1996. The head of the mullahs' judiciary and the speaker of the Majlis declared only a month ago that the only solution to the Rushdie problem is his murder. At the same time, reports of public hangings, amputations, and stonings continue to come from Iran and the people are under the tremendous pressure of suppression.
Emphasizing that the export of terrorism and fundamentalism are intrinsic to the mullahs' medieval regime and guarantees their survival, Mr. Rajavi said: The mullahs' regime is not only the enemy of the people of Iran but also the enemy of peace and tranquillity in the Middle East and the greatest threat to global democracy and stability. Rafsanjani insists that the world cannot impede "a nuclear armed Islamic revolution."
Lauding the secondary boycotts ratified by the U.S. House of representatives, the NCR President called on the G-7 countries to give priority to human rights and dignity over short-term economic interests, by adopting a decisive measure and joining the trade sanctions against the mullahs' regime.
