Noting the increase in the Khomeini regime's terrorist activities, meddling in the affairs of the countries in the region, and its enmity toward, and undermining of, the Middle East peace process, Mr. Rajavi emphasized that an effective approach to the ominous phenomenon of terrorism requires a clear and decisive policy by the international community.
He urged the foreign ministers to abandon the policy of critical dialogue and adopt specific and practical decisions and measures against the religious, terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran.
The NCR President added: In the first six months of 1996 alone, 12 activists of the Resistance and other Iranian dissidents have been gunned down by Tehran's hit squads. These assassinations are twice the total number of assassinations carried out by the mullahs' terrorist teams in all of 1995.
Referring to the discovery of a giant 320mm mortar launcher and its 120 kg shells in an Iranian ship in the Belgian port of Antwerp for use against the residence of Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the Iranian Resistance's President-elect, Mr. Rajavi said: The mullahs' resort to heavy weapons on European soil reflects a new and dangerous phase in state-sponsored terrorism, a direct consequence of placating policies towards the regime, especially critical dialogue.
The NCR President called on the G-7 countries to join the trade sanctions against the mullahs' medieval regime so as to prevent it from taking further advantage of the international community's silence and inaction.
