According to the reports from within the Khomeini regime, a team of four members of the Intelligence Ministry received a two-week training on how to use the weapon in July and another group of five were trained in August.
The training took place in the Imam-Sadeq base camp on Tehran-Qom road. The camp belongs to the Qods Force, the Guards Corps' arm for extra-territorial activities. The GC Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi, commander of the Qods Force, directly supervised the special training which was conducted in coordination with the Intelligence Ministry.
The regime's Organization of Defense Industry manufactured 20 of these 320mm mortar launchers which use 125kg shells. All of them were delivered to the Ministry of Intelligence for its terrorist activities outside Iran.
One of the guns, turned up on March 14, 1996, in Antwerp, Belgium, was destined to target the residence of the Iranian Resistance's President-elect, Maryam Rajavi, in a Paris suburb. Another gun was discovered a short time earlier in Baghdad and was to target an office of the Iranian Resistance in that city which is some times called by the NCR President Massoud Rajavi.
