In the last week alone, the criminal mullahs publicly hanged at least 12 persons in the provinces of Khorassan (northeast) and Western Azerbaijan (northwestern Iran). Also in the past week, the mullahs' Ministry of Intelligence reported that it had arrested 50 people in Western Azerbaijan under the pretext of "espionage." According to the clerical laws, these individuals will face death.
At the same time, the mullahs' religious, terrorist dictatorship launched several suppressive maneuvers in dozens of cities in southern Khorassan province and the provinces of Isfahan (center) and Boushehr (south) to "confront domestic crises" and curb the growing number of popular uprisings.
In another development, the mullahs' Majlis decided yesterday to extend the regime's savage and medieval laws, called "the law of Islamic punishment", for another ten years. It should be reminded that the criminal mullahs announced a new set of regulations the week before to suppress the Iranian women.
Reiterating that these criminal actions only strengthen the Iranian people's resolve for the overthrow of Iran's ruling religious despotism, the National Council of Resistance draws the attention of the international community and human rights organizations to the brutal violations of human rights in Iran.
The time has come for the international community to impose total embargo on the Khomeini regime for its extensive repression of the Iranian people and export of terrorism and fundamentalism. Experience has proven that any form of appeasing policy, including the critical dialogue, only emboldens this regime in its acts of suppression and terrors.
