Isfahan's Wool Industry workers go on strike

Workers at Isfahan's Wool Industry went on strike at the factory site on Saturday, March 1, and did not report for work. They did so in protest to their terrible living condition, and the non-payment of their salaries and bonuses, badly needed on the eve of the Iranian New Year (beginning on March 21).

According to the reports from Isfahan, the Security forces and Intelligence Ministry agents rapidly arrived at the site, arresting several workers and threatening others with dismissal to prevent the strike and protests from spreading outside the plant.

Last June, the International Labor Organization listed the mullahs' religious, terrorist dictatorship among the most extreme violators of the international labor rights conventions.
