Hundreds of theology students arrested in Qom
Reports from Qom say that this morning, simultaneous with the demonstration by the Guards Corps and the regime's suppressive agents, a group of Pasdaran and Intelligence Ministry agents attacked Montazeri's house and his teaching quarters (Hosseinieh), and destroyed everything therein. They also demolished parts of the building and arrested at least 125 theology students who were protecting his house. The assailants also destroyed more than 1,000 books.
In another development, scores of buses left Najafabad and Isfahan towards Qom to show support for Montazeri.
Presently, the home and teaching quarters of Montazeri have been surrounded by the Guards Corps.
In today's clashes in Qom, other dissident theology students were arrested in different parts of the city.
Followers of Montazeri have widely distributed the tape recordings of his speech against Khamenei.
