URGENT REPORT
- Rotten and paint-filled eggs hit Khatami's car twice just before his speech at UNESCO

Despite draconian restrictions, unprecedented security measures, and tight rows of guards and security agents surrounding the area, Khatami's car was hit twice at two points by Iranians before 9:00 a.m. as it was entering the UNESCO headquarters where he was due to deliver a speech. The car was hit on the roof and the right side where Khatami was sitting.

Iranians were protesting the presence and speech of a criminal mullah and the president of a regime which is the enemy of freedom and culture of the people of Iran at the United Nations' Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
