Around mid-day on Friday, March 15, several units took up positions around the town of Jalula, 30 kms from the Iran-Iraq border, in continuation of their 24-hour advance. Fighting continued to rage at the entrance to the town of Kifri. The mullahs' agents deployed a large number of Katyusha multiple rocket launchers and various types of mortars.
