In response to the Khomeini regime's wide-ranging conspiracy and attacks on the NLAs positions north of Jalula and Khanaqin, NLA forces launched a counterattack at 5 am on Monday, March 25. The offensive took place in the general area of Kifri Qareh-Tappeh - Jalula and Khanaqin along a strip 150 kms long and 50 kms deep on 9 axes. At 6 am two other NLA units joined the operation on two additional axes.
At 10 am, having routed thousands of Guards, the NLA forces on all 11 axes successfully reached their objectives.
