Mortar attack on Revolutionary Guards' Joint Chiefs of Staff HQ in Tehran's Doshan-Tappeh
HQs of Guards' "Directorate of Operations" (Ashoura Base) and "Directorate of Intelligence" (Bagheri Base) hit with mortars

The Mojahedin Command HQ inside Iran reported that at 10:30 pm last night, operational units of the Mojahedin pounded with mortars the Command HQ of the Guards' Joint Chiefs of Staff and the "Ashoura Base," the headquarters of the Guards' Directorate of Operations, and "Bagheri Base," the HQ of their Directorate of Intelligence. The compound is situated in Doshan-Tappeh, east of Tehran.

A number of Revolutionary Guards members and their commanders were killed or wounded in this bold attack, carried out in solidarity with student demonstrations last week in Tehran. The mullahs' suppressive forces attacked the demonstration, injuring several demonstrators and arresting a number of them.

The Guards' Command HQ of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is the nation-wide decision-making center for the five branches of the Revolutionary Guards, namely the ground forces, the navy, the air force, the paramilitary Bassij and the Qods (Jerusalem) Force, responsible for terrorist operations and extraterritorial activities of the Guards. The Guards' headquarters in Tehran and provinces are under the control of this center.
