DENIAL OF THE MULLAHS' FABRICATED REPORT

A Mojahedin press spokesman categorically denied the baseless claim made today by the mullahs' religious, terrorist dictatorship concerning an alleged attack on "the Mojahedin command headquarters in Baghdad" on Saturday March 8. The spokesman described the mullahs' fabricated report as a fearful reaction by the clerical regime in the face of successive gains and victories by the Iranian Resistance in different areas, and especially the rising support accorded to the Resistance and its President-elect Maryam Rajavi by the people of Iran.

The Mojahedin spokesman emphasized that the mullahs' regime has been particularly alarmed and scared by the full session of the National Council of Resistance, Iran's parliament-in-exile, held successfully in Iraq in the past few weeks, and the decisions taken by the NCR. Hence the mullahs have felt greater need for such false show of force as reflected in their fabricated report today. Furthermore, the Iranian Resistance's string of successes and the blows it has dealt to the mullahs' suppressive forces inside Iran have severely undermined the morale of the regime's forces. According to reports from inside the country, internal problems and factional infighting within the regime have also exacerbated as a result of these blows.
