Clerical regime admits activities of Resistance forces growing in Iran

The clerical regime's Ministry of Intelligence claimed today that it had arrested three members of the Mojahedin in Kerman, southern Iran, and another two as they were leaving the country across the border.

The Ministry thus admitted to the expansion of the activities of the Resistance forces in Iran. The admission comes in the wake of two campaigns by the Resistance forces in 181 cities across the country to boycott the mullahs' sham elections and to honor the anniversary of June 20, the start of the Iranian people's just Resistance against the Khomeini regime.

A spokesman of the Mojahedin Command Headquarters inside Iran said in this regard: Reacting to the rise in the activities of the Mojahedin inside Iran and the increasing number of youths joining the National Liberation Army of Iran, the regime's suppressive forces have resorted to extensive arrests among supporters of the Resistance as well as ordinary people.

The recent claim by the director general of the Ministry of Intelligence in Kerman about the arrest of members of the Mojahedin is, however, a sheer lie aimed at putting on a hollow show of force and an effort to conceal the regime's inability to confront the growth of popular Resistance, the spokesman added.

He stressed: The regime carries out military maneuvers every day in various parts of the country to confront the public's escalating support for the Resistance. Despite such clamp down, the activities of the Resistance forces across the country and the tide of youths joining the National Liberation Army continues to spread.

The People's Mojahedin draw the attention of the international human rights organizations to the escalation of suppression and arrests and increasing pressures on political prisoners in Iran. They call for immediate intervention to save the lives of these prisoners.
