Mojahedin Secretary General: Mullahs' criminal attack will not go unanswered

Following the failed air strikes against two bases of the National Liberation Army of Iran by nine of the clerical regime's fighter-bombers, the Mojahedin Secretary General, Ms. Mahvash Sepehri said that these criminal attacks will not go unanswered and that the Khomeini regime and its suppressive forces must expect heavier blows from the Mojahedin and Resistance forces inside Iran.

Ms. Sepehri added: Today's bombing raids display before all else, the clerical regime's desperation in the face of the extensive activities of the Resistance forces inside Iran, increasing support for the Resistance's President-elect, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, and its fear of the growing wave of Iranian youth joining the NLA.

The Mojahedin Secretary General reiterated that the mullahs' raid reaffirms that Khatami has neither the interest nor the power to change the policies and conduct of the religious, terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran.

The Mojahedin's command headquarters inside Iran reported that in the first seven months of 1997, the Mojahedin had carried out 297 operations across the country dealing heavy blows to the mullahs' regime. In these clashes, hundreds of Guards and Intelligence Ministry agents have been killed or wounded, it said.
