Two Mojahedin members murdered by mullahs' agents in a terrorist attack in Dyala, northeast Iraq

Two members of the Mojahedin were assassinated Saturday, September 27, by the Khomeini regime agents in a surprise attack in the border region of Dyala, northeast Iraq. The victims were Messrs. Jamal Ahani, 39 from Zanjan, and Mahmoud Qolizadeh, 34 from Rasht.

Mr. Massoud Rajavi, President of the National Council of Resistance, sent a telegram that day to the UN Secretary General and members of the Security Council and urged them to condemn this terrorist crime. He reiterated that the silence and inaction of the international community had emboldened Iran's ruling mullahs to continue and escalate the flagrant violations of human rights and export of terrorism and fundamentalism. Mr. Rajavi also urged the government of Iraq to pursue, prosecute and punish the terrorists.

Last night, the mullahs' religious, terrorist dictatorship accepted the responsibility for these murders. Consistent with its past routine, the regime's news agency cited a bogus group called "Iraqi strugglers" in reporting the terrorist operation. It falsely claimed that the slain Mojahedin had planned to carry out "terrorist operations along the Iranian border."
