Tehran regime confirms extensive clashes with Resistance forces in past three days in three western provinces

Hours after the Mojahedin announced in a press statement that they had engaged in intensive clashes with the mullahs' suppressive forces over the past three days in a vast area in the western Iranian provinces of Khuzistan, Ilam and Kermanshah, the Tehran regime was compelled to confirm the clashes and the Mojahedin's operations.

This afternoon, the regime's state-run radio broadcast a long news report in this regard. It said that the regime had deployed all the "Bassij, military and State Security Forces" in the areas of confrontation. The mullahs also made references to the clashes on Monday and Thursday between the Mojahedin and the regime's suppressive forces which had been already made public by the Mojahedin in its statement on October 31 and reflected in the international news agencies.

The Mojahedin Command Headquarters inside Iran reported this morning that more than 100 Revolutionary Guards, intelligence agents, and a number of commanders of the Ministry of Intelligence, the Revolutionary Guards and State Security Forces were killed or wounded in nine operations and clashes which took place around the cities of Khorramshahr, Moussian, Dehloran and Qasr-e-Shirin over vast areas of the provinces of Khuzistan, Ilam and Kermanshah. Eight Mojahedin combatants were slain in these clashes.

The intensity of the clashes compelled the regime to announce emergency situation on Sunday. The Guards Corps and Intelligence Ministry forces in western and southern Iran were put on alert on Sunday, while reinforcement units were sent from nearby cities. At 5:30 a.m., Sunday, November 2, the clerical regime ordered its State Security Forces to seal off all the arteries and roads leading to the area of confrontations in western Iran.

The Command Headquarters of the Mojahedin inside Iran announced that 352 operations had been carried out in Iran in the past six weeks, from September 23 through November 3.
