Mullahs' Intelligence Ministry assigns 9th Badr Corps to espionage and terrorism against Mojahedin

The religious, terrorist dictatorship ruling Iran has assigned the 9th Badr Corps, directed by the Ministry of Intelligence, to devote the bulk of its resources to activities against the Mojahedin and the National Liberation Army of Iran, in Iraq.

To this end, the Ministry of Intelligence has stationed various groups of the 9th Badr Corps in its provincial departments in the border provinces of West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam and Khuzistan, for reconnaissance of the centers of the Iranian Resistance and military and terrorist operations against the movement. The ministry has also set up bases in the cities of Khorramshahr, Moussian and Ilam.

The teams which have recently entered Iraq to launch terrorist operations against the Mojahedin and the NLA were dispatched from the said bases. Experienced in terrorist activities, these teams work for the Ministry of Intelligence and receive regular training.

The forces of 9th Badr Corps based in the cities of Kermanshah and Qasr-e Shirin in Kermanshah province in Iran and in the cities of Sulaymania and Darbandikhan in Iraqi Kurdistan, are involved in intelligence gathering and organizing terrorist operations against the Mojahedin. As one of their assignments, they disseminate false news and attribute their own and other of the regime's forces' criminal, suppressive and terrorist activities in the border regions and provinces to the Mojahedin.

A number of these agents have been recently detected in the southern sections of the Iran-Iraq border, using video cameras to gather information about the NLA base camps.

The 9th Badr Corps was formed in 1984 by and under the command of the Revolutionary Guards Corps. Since 1990, it has been basically directed and commanded by the mullahs' Ministry of Intelligence.

The People's Mojahedin of Iran draw the attention of the international community to the Khomeini regime's terrorist aggressions against the Iranian Resistance in Iraq which are in blatant violation of the UN Security Council resolutions, including Resolution 598.
