The sites where security precautions have been stepped up include headquarters of government agencies involved in repression and export of terrorism such as the Ministry of Intelligence buildings, Guards Corps headquarters, and Islamic Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office branches. At each site, dozens of Revolutionary Guards and repressive forces are patrolling the area and guarding the buildings. The Revolutionary Guards have erected tents near sensitive sites and stay on the street round-the-clock.
The State Security Forces' helicopters have been flying air reconnaissance and surveillance flights over the capital and the outlying areas since Wednesday morning in an effort to prevent the Resistance forces from mounting further attacks on key installations.
The reports added that the Resistance operations have instilled great fear and despair in the mullahs' security and military forces. Their morale had already been badly shaken as a result of aggravating power struggle between rival factions in the past few months. At the same time, people in different parts of the country are reported to have received the news of the Mojahedin operations with much joy and satisfaction. This has encouraged people to show greater defiance and resist the usual coercion and pressures exerted by the regime's agents.
These developments have added to the clerical regime's fears. In the past 48 hours, all the leaders of the regime, including Khamenei, Rafsanjani, Khatami and Nateq-Nouri, have been making public speeches against the Mojahedin in a bid to raise the morale of their demoralized forces.
