Mullahs' new conspiracy against Iranian opponents abroad

The clerical regime's Supreme National Security Council has instructed the Ministries of Intelligence and Foreign Affairs to mobilize their resources to induce foreign governments, particularly those in Europe and America, to impose restrictions on Iranian Resistance's supporters in their countries. The mullahs' decision stems from their grave concern at the growing impact of the political activities of Iranians and Resistance supporters abroad to expose the regime's crimes.

The mullahs' Foreign Ministry has instructed its embassies and diplomatic representations around the world to forge documents and collect false testimonies in order to present a case to their host government alleging that Resistance supporters in the country concerned are involved in violence or unlawful activities.

The ruling mullahs, unable to counter popular uprisings and Resistance operations in Iran, now intend to extend the medieval repression dominating Iran to the cities and streets of Europe and America and force these governments to deprive Iranian Resistance activists of their legitimate right to freedom of expression.

Ex-president Hashemi Rafsanjani said on Thursday: "If the Americans are sincere in condemning terrorism, they must stop the Mojahedin's activities in America."

On the same day, the regime's Foreign Ministry spokesman Mahmoud Mohammadi said: "Mojahedin members are free to carry out their activities in America and they have contacts with Congress and its members and are even supported by some members of Congress." Mohammadi called for restrictions on Mojahedin's activities in the U.S. He also attacked the European Union for not adopting a position against the Resistance.

The state television said in a political commentary last night: "Why do some Western governments grant asylum to our opponents and allow them to carry out political activities and thus influence and poison Western public opinion about events in our country? As its first step... the West must ban their political activities."

A Mojahedin press spokesman said: "These statements and comments show how much the mullahs fear the disclosure of their crimes in the international arena. These activities have in fact thwarted many conspiracies and international plots hatched by the mullahs."

The spokesman added: "The mullahs' comments also make it clear that the unjustifiable statement by the U.S. State Department against the Mojahedin and offer of sympathies to torturers and executioners have only encouraged the mullahs to further blackmail Western countries, to the extent that the mullahs are now demanding the U.S. administration to deprive Iranians residing in the U.S. of the right to freedom of speech in violation of the U.S. Constitution and its First Amendment.

The Iranian Resistance draws the attention of all governments and international human rights organizations to the ruling mullahs' dirty plot against Iranians residing abroad, as well as the Tehran regime's attempts to pave the way for further terrorist attacks on Resistance activists outside the country.
