Mullahs' contradictory claims

On Tuesday, August 4, the clerical regime's state television claimed that during the June 2 attacks by Mojahedin's military units against "the Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in Tehran six persons were martyred."

A Mojahedin spokesman said: "The mullahs' regime has so far put out many contradictory figures to conceal the actual number of casualties among its torturers and Guards in the course of Mojahedin's operations. The regime's conflicting reports about this case are the best testament to this reality."

He added: "The clerics first claimed that no-one had been hurt, only to say later that two were killed and two more wounded. They claimed 24 hours later that an Armenian civilian was killed in the attack. 48 hours later, the mullahs' news agency, IRNA, reported that two children were also killed in the incident, without even providing any details or their names. Now, they claim that six persons have been killed, again without making public their identity and role in suppression, torture and execution."

"The mullahs' latest claim, two months after Mojahedin's operations against three main centers of suppression and terrorism, including the Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office in Tehran, where torturers and those responsible for the execution of tens of thousands of political prisoners in the past 19 years work, is part of Tehran's propaganda scheme and misinformation campaign against the Iranian Resistance," the Mojahedin spokesman noted.

He emphasized that through these desperate ploys, the clerics intend to induce European countries to take a stance against the Iranian Resistance and in support of the ruling theocracy which tops the list of states sponsoring terrorism and violating human rights, and to impose restrictions on Mojahedin supporters in these countries.
