Clerical regime's failed terrorist attack in Khalis (Iraq) on a civilian bus carrying Mojahedin

At 4:35 p.m. (local time), Saturday, October 17, the mullahs' terrorists set off a strong remote-controlled bomb on the route of a civilian bus carrying a number of the Mojahedin.

The bomb had been placed in a white Datsun (license plate no. 3837-Salahoddin) pickup parked near the entry square of the city of Khalis (60 kms north of Baghdad) and was blown up by remote control when the Mojahedin's bus was passing by. The Mojahedin suffered no harm in this terrorist attack.

This was the 66th terrorist and military operation by the mullahs' regime since 1993 against the Mojahedin and the National Liberation Army of Iran in Iraqi territory. 15 of these terrorist assaults have occurred since Mohammad Khatami became the mullahs' President.

This terrorist operation is taking place while the Assembly of Experts election is facing the Iranian Resistance's boycott and total public apathy. Iran's ruling theocratic regime is now ever more in need of export of terrorism.

The People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran reiterates its legitimate right to response and self-defense and urges the relevant Iraqi authorities to legally pursue this case. The Mojahedin also call on the UN Security Council to condemn the terrorist crimes by Iran's clerical regime.
