Clerical regime's terrorists attack Mojahedin near Ammara, Iraq

At around 7:00 p.m. (local time), Wednesday, March 10, a group of terrorists dispatched by the mullahs' regime opened machine gun fire and launched RPG-7 rockets on several Mojahedin vehicles near the Iraqi city of Ammara, Iraq.

In a quick reaction, the Mojahedin returned fire on the terrorists who had hidden in ambush around the Ammara-Kut road, near the National Liberation Army's Homayoun basecamp. One of the terrorists was killed and others took advantage of the darkness and fled the scene.

The assailants left behind a number of RPG-7 rockets, an MK-47 machine gun and a number of grenades.

This was the second terrorist operation by the mullahs' religious, terrorist dictatorship against the Mojahedin this week and the 69th since 1993 in the Iraqi territory. Eighteen of these operations have been launched during Khatami's tenure. In addition to the Mojahedin, a number of Iraqi citizens have been killed and wounded as a result of these assaults .

The People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran urges the relevant Iraqi authorities to pursue this terrorist crime. The PMOI also calls on the UN Security Council to condemn the regime's terrorism.
