Mojahedin categorically deny links to a smuggling ring

The People's Mojahedin of Iran deny categorically the bogus report about the organization's ties to an immigration smuggling ring.

Such lies are disseminated with specific political objectives, the primary source of which is the clerical regime which is trying to tarnish the image of the Iranian people's legitimate and just Resistance.

On the basis of a declared policy, the People's Mojahedin of Iran always operate within the framework of the laws in their host countries and are not in anyway involved in unlawful activities.

The allegation about the Mojahedin's involvement in the 1979 hostage-taking is absolutely false. By occupying the U.S. embassy in Tehran, Khomeini intended to suppress the Mojahedin and other opposition groups.

The Mojahedin have never been engaged in violence in foreign countries and their activities and operations inside Iran are undertaken in the context of the Geneva conventions.

The People's Mojahedin of Iran will take legal action against those who have slandered the organization.
