After several days of clashes in Tehran, Mojahedin units brought under control Tehran's south Kamranieh district to strike at Sayyad Shirazi

The Mojahedin Command HQ in Iran provided new details on the operation punishing Maj. Gen. Ali Sayyad Shirazi, butcher of Kurdistan and murderer of Mojahedin, Deputy Chief of the General Command Staff of the clerical regime's Armed Forces.

Operation Tolou was carried out by Mojahedin operational units named after Ms. Mahin Rezaii and Messrs. Ali Zarkesh, Mohammad Massoumi, Asghar Zaman-Vaziri, Mohsen Tadayyoni and Reza Pouragol, senior Mojahedin members, slain during Eternal Light operation in 1988 by Sayyad Shirazi and the Revolutionary Guards under his command.

Mojahedin units were involved in several clashes on Thursday and Friday in different parts of Tehran as a result of which a number of Guards and members of the State Security Force were killed or wounded. Ultimately, the units brought under their control parts of the northern Tehran's south Kamranieh district and struck at Maj. Gen. Sayyad Shirazi.

So extentive were the clashes on Thursday and Friday in the capital that the state-run dailies were forced to report parts of these clashes and the death of a number of Guards Corps and State Security Force members.
