Plan to punish Rafsanjani indicates Iran's youth attracted to armed Resistance
Mojahedin call for dispatch of international fact-finding mission accompanied by Iranian Resistance's representatives to Iran to prevent the torture and execution of those arrested

A spokesman for the Mojahedin's command headquarters inside Iran described the widespread arrests in recent weeks in connection with the plan to punish Rafsanjani as an indication of the extent and depth of popular opposition to the mullahs' illegitimate regime.

He said the arrests reflect increasing appeal of armed Resistance against the clerical regime among Iranian youths as the only means of national liberation. A by-product of the operations by Mojahedin's military units inside Iran, this phenomenon is indicative of the link established between the military and the social factors, he noted, adding that this development had sounded the death knells for the regime both within and without it.

For this reason, Khatami's faction and his media originally tried to link those arrested and those who carried out the heroic operation to punish mullah Ali Razini to rival factions, especially the Guards Corps. In the same vein, attributing the Resistance's operations against those who have usurped the right of the Iranian people to a representative government to "Western Arrogance," "hidden hands" and "factional schemes" is a transparent ploy by the regime to cover up the depth and dimensions of the Iranian people's disdain and repugnance toward this anti-human regime.

The spokesman for the Mojahedin's command headquarters inside Iran pointed to the savage and inhuman tortures and execution verdicts awaiting those detained in recent weeks. He called for the intervention of international organs and human rights organizations as well as for the dispatch of an international fact-finding mission to Iran accompanied with the representatives of the Iranian Resistance.
